Areas of Specialization

Oncology and Serious Illness

Living with a serious illness can affect every aspect of life. Whether you are adjusting to a new diagnosis, undergoing treatment, living with uncertainty, or navigating survivorship, therapy can provide a supportive space to process emotions, strengthen coping strategies, and reconnect with what matters most.

A special focus of my work has been supporting younger families when a child has cancer, or when a parent is living with cancer. I understand the unique challenges that illness can bring to family life and the importance of compassionate support for each family member.

Palliative Care and Caregiver Support

Facing advanced illness or caring for someone who is seriously ill can bring feelings of sadness, uncertainty, exhaustion, and anticipatory grief.

I provide compassionate support for individuals and families as they navigate end-of-life concerns, caregiving responsibilities, changing roles, and the many emotions that accompany these experiences. Together, we can create space for reflection, meaning, and connection during difficult times.

Grief and Bereavement

Grief is a natural response to loss, yet each person’s experience is unique. There is no right way to grieve and no timetable for healing.

Whether your loss is recent or many years old, therapy offers a space to honour your grief, explore difficult emotions, and gradually reconnect with meaning, hope, and the people and experiences that matter most to you.

Anxiety and Life Transitions

Periods of change, uncertainty, and stress can leave us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from ourselves and others.

Therapy can help you better understand anxiety, develop coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths and resilience. Together, we can explore ways to navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence.
